Shizuka Matsunaga

Shizuka Matsunaga is the Director of Operations at Hilton
Parker LLC, where she oversees the firm’s administrative systems, financial
coordination, and project management infrastructure. Drawing on more than 15
years of experience in corporate management and language service project
leadership, she ensures that the firm’s operations remain efficient, precise,
and adaptable across multiple jurisdictions and practice areas.

Before joining Hilton Parker, Shizuka served as Assistant
Chief Administrator at TS Tech Americas, Inc., where she managed company-wide language service projects spanning procurement, budgeting, translation and interpreting services, and training of new translators and interpreters. Her
background includes extensive experience in coordinating translation and
interpreting requests, budgeting, vendor and equipment procurement for language services, and leading teams across cultural and technical disciplines.

Her professional philosophy emphasizes clarity, reliability,
and proactive problem-solving—qualities that sustain Hilton Parker’s commitment to precision, integrity, and excellence in its legal and operational work. Her leadership combines analytical rigor with a methodical, detail-oriented approach to supporting both internal teams and clients behind the scenes.

Shizuka was born and grew up in Japan and holds a Master of
Arts in Translation from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts in
International Studies from Bowling Green State University, with earlier
coursework at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan.

Aside from work, Shizuka is a lifelong musician.  She has sung in a choir for over 30 years, played the piano since age three, and played the baritone saxophone throughout junior high and high school days. She is also a certified energy healer and expanding her practice to include sound healing as well.
